The Children's Center will hold the workshop "Helping Your Child Get Ready to Read" at four location in August.
This workshop focuses on helping parents understand that children need help getting ready to read. Before children can learn to read, they must develop early literacy skills. Learning these skills begin at birth and have a long term impact on children’s reading achievement and academic success. Children who enter school with well developed early literacy skills have an advantage; they are ready to learn to read!
The workshops will be held at the following dates and locations:
