The Bright Smiles for Babies program, funded through a federal grant and administered by the Virginia Department of Health, Division of Dental Health, came to the Texie Camp Marks Children’s Center in Franklin on Wednesday, July 11. The program stresses the importance of good oral hygiene for young children and includes dental screenings. Receiving a dental screening from Dr. Elizabeth Berhard (l), a dentist with the Western Tidewater Health District, is Omarie Slade. Also pictured is teacher Adrienne Whitehead.
