Mask Mandate for children
Mask Mandate for children

The Governor of Virginia is now mandating that all children age 5 and up wear a face mask.   Also the DOE has updated some requirements/recommendations as well.  The Children’s Center is updating our COVID safety protocols to align with this recent mandate.  All children in our Pre-K and Head Start classrooms as well as our School Age classrooms will be required to wear a face mask except when eating, outside or nap time.

All children age 2 and up must wear a mask while on the bus

All children age 2 and up- are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while at the center- except when outside, eating, naptime

We will have child size masks on site for any child that may need one. If you have any questions in regards to this requirement please reach out to your child’s teacher and she will ensure your questions get answered. Thank you for your support as we continue to work hard to help keep our children and staff safe!
